question Any decent Park and Play/Paddles on the way to the Grand Canyon? New

I'm leaving from Iron Mountain, MI on Tuesday morning and driving through Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona.  Since I'll have my kayak with me it'd be awesome to find a cool place or two that I could pull off the main drag, mabye catch a few Z's and then paddle a new river.  I'll be by myself and with only one car so that's why it's gonna need to be park and play.

Might as well take advantage of what I can

Thanks,
Nate
