I do some REALLY processor intensive work. 3d modelling rendering and animation.  Millions of Polys radiosity and caustics rendering etc.  I've got a Dual Xenon and a Dual G5. both cost about the same.   The G5 is faster rendering while the PC is faster for screen redraw.(OpenGL on OSX  really sucks but it's a software thing not a hardware thing.  Your memory handling info is about 5 years out of date.Multithreading has been supported eversince OSX came into being.  Christ, I wish both sides of this debate would suck it up and realize that there are different tools for different jobs.  They're TOOLS, not ways of life.  I use my macs more because that was what I was taught on and the color mangement prepress and typography tools seem more intuitive for me, but thats me.  Sheesh.
