these are not pristine rivers and there is too much development going on for these rivers to be protected, particularly "forever". there are already water quality problems and it's only going to get worse.

if you want to save a river, go find one that hasn't been shit in by the mob yet, and stop them from even starting to develop around it. once they start, they do not stop and you end up with poor quality tributaries dumping into your Scenic river. if we all had a "house in the woods", there wouldn't be any woods.

but nobody thinks, just a rat race to put that land there in MY NAME, so i can put up my KEEP OUT! signs while i'm clearcutting the riverbank and dumping crap into MY RIVER. by the way, KEEP OUT!

find something further north that atlanta won't touch for another 20 years, and take a shot at that. save something worthwhile for our kids, not the next cartecay.
