Its great on big water and on creeks.  It punches holes really well and its very easy to maneuver and roll for us smaller women.   I used to paddle the Micro 230 and I liked it at the time because I didn't know any better--I would advise you not to get one because they are no good on big water.  They are also definitely hole bait.  You might find an H3 in your price range since they have been out for a couple of years.  The Java would be the next best choice.  It is an excellent boat--it handles very similarly to the H3, except it doesn't turn as easily and its very heavy if you have to carry it.
