I feel that the value of a gauge there would increase SIGNIFICANTLY if the gauge was in the pool where the old gauge rock is. It needs to be viewable by folks who walk down the trail and don't put on, and it needs to be somewhere that allows folks to walk out if they see that the level is too high or too low when they see it. that was the beauty of the gauge rock. if it's downstream where you're committed anyway it becomes less of a decision making tool, and more of a point of curiosity.
I would be glad to help with figuring out a mounting scheme at the gauge rock pool.

well, you were on my victim list. points taken. fastening a post to the gauge rock will require "bigger tools".... <NT> farmschooler New

i never walked down to look at the rock, though. it is always a curiousity. the "tape" gives the basics each day.... <NT> farmschooler New

1.) I fear vandalism at Fishtop, 2.) I'm too lazy to check there, 3.) After the drive/hike, 'yer gonna run it anyway... farmschooler New
