What kind of boats are you taking.  Unless they are new playboats that are really light and around 6 feet long, I am guessing you will have some trouble.  Kayaks are a hell of a lot heavier than surfboards, and i think that is deltas main issue with them.  

i have had friends get refused at the check in counter, so come up with a great lie and stick to it...
