So I spent three seasons in an H3 255, and two seasons in a L Burn before I switched to the Everest. Basically the Everest takes the things that I liked about both boats and mushes them together and then makes it even better than that. I really liked the Burn, it was fun to paddle, but when I got on High volume stuff I got a little scared because I wanted the size and the stability of the H3 255. I found myself getting tripped up and backendered on the stern of the Burn. The problem with the 255 was that it didn't wave quite enough rocker, which the burn does. The everest has great rocker and a more forgiving edge than either the 255 or the Burn. The Everest is shockingly stable, things that I am sure would have flipped me over I have carried through or over numerous times. The Everest is also a bit faster that the Burn, and a little more boat to move around, but I feel the benefits far outweigh any negative for my paddling style. I really like big boats... If you like turny sporty boats the everest is probably not the boat for you, the Burn would be the choice. If you are a bigger guy or like bigger boats, and want a fast stable boat designed to paddle like other boats do for those 150-180 people, than the Everest is the answer.
