I have noticed a little hinting to that effect, and seriously wonder.
If you are filthy rich, are you automatically greedy?
If you spend your riches on nice things, does that make you greedy?
Is it a factor of economics, or morality? That is the real question.
In other words, if a person becomes filthy rich (seems to be a common term on here), and does so WITHOUT doing immoral, unethical, or questionable things to any other person or the environment..........is he greedy too?
To me, without even looking it up, the definition of greed is somebody that does or attempts to gain (could be anything) at the expense of another person or thing (could be a person, government, or our earth), and does so in an unfair, immoral, or unethical manner.
In short, somebody that tried or succeeds in getting something for personal gain that is not fair, or that they get by harming others or taking away from others that actually deserve it or deserve/earned the protection.
