The proclamation of St. Paul, the belief in a supernatural Jesus.  No matter what scripture you chose  to put your faith in, the idea that a man actually rose from the dead as the literal son of God is unprovable, and pretty silly.
What Jesus actually was could be better defined as a wise philosopher and charasmatic leader, history is full of those, Christianity, unlike some lesser known but equally important religions, became extremely popular as it was adopted by the Roman empire.
I do believe in a God, some "transcendental" communication (prayer, meditation) and I do not believe life exists for no reaon at all, I believe there is something beyond us indeed, what I do not proclaim is an absolute knowledge of such a being.

note If Jesus was not who He implied he was, to call him a wise philosopher and charismatic leader is absurd.   ezwater New
