Today, I sit in air conditioned home, groceries in the refridgerator, cell phone, computer, running water, electricity, getting ready to "get paid" *holiday pay* to go and paddle a river.
I am in good health, my children are well cared for, I have 2 kayaks, a good, dependable car, I can go anywhere I want, so long as I have the money.
I feel safe in my little niche of the world.
So many people complain about the state of the nation and man, stop and think about how good you have it.
I see boats on the water, motor boats on the lake, 4wheelers in the woods and it seems like EVERYBODY, even the poor, fishing off the riverbank are recreating and having a good time.
We are lucky to live in the US.
