I'm going to be spending 6 weeks this summer in Cremolino, Italy participating in a Study Abroad program. When that session is over, my wife is flying in to Milan, and we're looking to spend a week to 10 days somewhere in that general region of Europe (though not necessarily in Italy... we're hoping to branch out into southern France, Austria, or Greece, etc.) We'd prefer to stay in one place and do day trips from that base. We did the "if it's Tuesday it must be Nazca" thing in Peru, and it was fun but exhausting.
We need to get our plans set very soon, like in the next three weeks or so. Anyone here have experience with the area and have any don't-miss suggestions? We wouldn't mind seeing some standard tourist stuff, but we'd also like get into some of the smaller communities. I guess we're pretty flexible in that way. Just need some help to get pointed in the right direction.
Thanks! |
