Rather than saying that my child has rights, I can ask what are my corresponding responsibilities regarding the child.

I'm not sure there is such a thing as "rights" but when I see people exercising their "rights," I often find they have divorced themselves from the concept of what is right.

It really is going to be funny when we get to The Childrens' Liberation. And it will cause a huge dive in the population.
