Re: note Eat more pizza!  I find that gaining weight makes all my boats steadier in the wind.  Or, get a Pyranha Speeder. <NT> ezwater New

designed to work best with only the paddler aboard.

It's mainly whitewater craft that are designed to work best carrying just a paddler and a small amount of gear.  Most flatwater canoes also need some gear weight to dig into the water and work right.

My Necky Looksha Sport is so small for me that I really can't add much gear at all, but that little sucker doesn't blow around much at all.

note Speeder link inside.  Might be even more "too much of a good thing."   ezwater New
th_up THAT's kinda cool.  Sort of a sport-touring-wildwater-speedfreak yak. GCA_Steve New
note I'll demo one if I can find it, but for the money, the Prijons are tough to beat: adjustable thigh braces... rroberts New
smile Isn't VERY waterproof kind of like "a little pregnant?" julesagogo New
note Basically yes.  A lot of the "waterproof" hatches on touring boats seep from water... rroberts New
note The wind problemis that the Barracuda is 17' x 21 wide and has a somewhat V shaped hull. <NT> rroberts New
