The Chevy Aveo is built in Korea.
And yet, people see me driving my Toyota and would think I don't "buy American".
Which is better? Buying a Toyota that provides jobs and manufacturing here, or a Chevy that simply adds to corporate profits here?
It's not that simple. And I don't really have a problem with the global economy. Competition is good. If we want to survive, we will have to compete on a global level. If that means losing manufacturing jobs, we better figure out what it is that we can sell to all those newly middle class and wealthy Chinese and Indian folks.
