here's the catch though: recycle code 7 is "Other" plastic .... not included in the first 6 types

Our poly Hersheys bottles are labeled number 7. Does not mean they are made of the same stuff as Nalgene 7.

I would think Hershey bottles would usually be type 2, just like your canoe and my kayak.

Some Hersheys are labeled 2, some are labeled 7, but it's pretty much the same stuff.

the type 7's are probably so because the leftover chocolate syrup changes their chemical composition.
