Use seebeck thermoelectric generators to capture waste heat from the exhaust system.  Convert to electricity.  Use the electricity to power accesories or supplement the drivetrain, increasing efficiency.
We have some novel materials and designs that we've liscenced from universities and Nasa that we beleive allow our thermoelectric generators to be far more efficient than anything else out there.  Telling those details might require an NDA.   Or a big checkbook.  Or both.

Our stuff is expensive, so we are concentrating on heavy diesel trucks (semis) initially.  If I can save them 15% of their fuel bill, that makes for a much shorter payback period than saving you 15%, so it makes for a better economic arguement.  As we figure out how to make them cheaper, or energy gets more expensive, the arguement for putting them in cars will make more and more sense.
