	Open a brand new workbook and see if the same bahavior occurs. If not, then you will know that it is a property of the funky workbook, not a property of your installation of Excel. In that case, rather than trying to track it down, copy everything from the funky spreadsheet into the new workbook, but using "Paste Special/Values" so that you don't bring any properties of the old workbook along with you.
