	Of course, besides diesel engines, driving smaller and more economical cars is another option, as is carpooling. Seeing the unbelievable traffic jams in several U.S. cities with HOV lanes, while I was driving along happily with more people in one car, while all the cars with one person in them were standing still sure made me wonder about the need for big cars and the need for every person in a household having such a big car for themselves. Talking about a waste of energy!

With my Ford Focus diesel, I got roughly double the MPG as in my similar size Octavia petrol. Wilko New
