Actually my brother is just fine, a slacker, but fine. He is named after my uncle Jimmy, who died in 77 from a glioblastoma. Cancer killed my Dad's father (lung) and younger brother (brain) in lesss than 2 years. Honestly, I was too young to really remember either, so the pain involved is not mine, but still apparent in my father. I did loose a friend in 90 from a glioblastoma. He was a great guy who was a border at McCallie in Chattanooga and then went to CU. He was having trouble concentrating and went home from Boulder to Mobile to see his family Doc. They found the tumor and he died within a couple of months, never returning to school. |
