As we know, deeply ingrained in man is the need for independence. However when men involved in relationships choose to exercise that independence, in any form, their women view that negatively. Women by contrast are deeply relational, so they take something like paddling as a personal slap in the face (unless they happen to paddle too). They also use something like paddling as a free pass to go screw somebody else. Yes, screw sombody else. I'm not saying either party is right or wrong, just that men and women speak different languages. My girlfriend will call me 23 times a day, until I say I have to do something (meaning without her). At this point, she ceases calling and ceases answering the phone. Getting an oil change will send her into this craziness, so you can only image what paddling does to her - and me. |
