Tactics in some respects haven't changed much since ww2.  But let's look at that. WW2 had jungles, wide open spaces, urban environments, counter insurgency, deserts, and infiltration.  You had pretty much everything. And in many respects tactics have changed greatly.  Compare Dresdin with Falluja. Hirosima with Bagdad.
