	Why? because it had a scope? During the Clinton years when the anti-gun rights whacko's were pushing the "assault gun" ban, practically everything you could buy at Wal Mart was considered a assault gun. Basically the definition was anything semi-automatic or had "large" capacity magazines; like deer rifles that could hold five rounds. I think this was just another example of how reporters wanted the story to be true and tried to make more out of it than it was before it was known it was bogus, just to try and make the smear worse. To bad it was a fake.
