we are in the midst of a economic slide and where it will stop no one knows. however, the relief bill wasn't passed to STOP the slide but lessen it. bad times are coming, its just with the relief bill our entire system won't implode as now there are some backstops......lame ones, but they are there.

perhaps you should do your homework on this one.

as for your contempt of politicians, i couldn't agree more. let's just keep in mind when they passed measures to help with the 9/11 crisis, with the ruins still smoldering, these same yahoos tacked pork onto that. don't remember the outrage then, and what little there was didn't keep the bastards out, but i like the way you are thinking.

Why is it that all our politicians know how to do is throw money at a problem AFTER the fact? Where is the oversight? Who the hell is looking out for the best interests of the country FIRST? Any dumbass can throw change at a bum and hope he goes away... it takes someone with guts, courage, compassion and thoughtfulness for someone other than themselves to actually DO something that will help that bum... and we're the bums... we just pay the bills to the IDIOTS throwing change.

We've GOT to get away from this Red State/Blue State, pro/anti abortion, media driven circus mentality and make these ASSHOLES start working for US (as in U.S.)... or we are going to be in a world of shit!

Let's go there...
