I trust my self confidence and non verbal communication to make it abundantly clear that on the street I'm not an easy victim. That works very well in the gun-shy society I'm living in.
If push does come to shove, there are my hand to hand fighting skills and in a real emergency I prefer the use of "weapons of opportunity" which can't be so easily be used against me if I do get disarmed (like for example a small baton such as a two AA cell maglight or my keys).

Having said that, I have had military training, know how to effectively use a gun and I do enjoy target practice.

smile Of course not, but my experience is that posture and radiating self confidence counts for more than size. Wilko New
