People have the uncanny abililty to take some wonderful "faith based" ways of living in this world and transforming them into insipid, self serving religious institutions. Satire/the sharp poking of fun, sort of act as a cattle prod, hopefully shocking people into seeing what they have allowed to become of their faith(s). One of the best examples of this on the screen was Monty Python's, "the Life of Brian." "South Park" does a spectacular job on TV. All religious leaders should watch "South Park." |
