I have an opportunity to move to Sacramento from Columbus, Ohio. Through the local outdoors group called Columbus Outdoor Pursuits "COP") (http://www.outdoor-pursuits.org/) I have become a part of a group of class II-III paddlers. Starting last year and continuing through this year we have been building our skills, and learning a lot from the class IV-V paddlers who have been generous with their time and knowledge! Is there a similar group in the Sacramento area? During the 10-30 degree winters COP rents a local YMCA and we all practice different skills.
Also, is there class II-III paddling in the Sacramento area? By the end of this year I hope to be in the III-IV range.
