Just a few thoughts, I have owned a Hyside, 11' self bailing, great boat.  Sold it to my best friend and bought a Super Duper Puma because kids are getting older and they want to bring friends on the river.  It is a GREAT boat.  It is plenty roomy for 7 kids and a guide, roughly 10-15 year olds, it tracks great, it is narrow enough for tight rivers but also stable enough for the kind of whitewater that you would bring kids on.  It is a great Ocoee boat, Nolichucky also.  It would be great on the Upper Gauley, fast, turns easily and stiff.  It dives into holes like nobody's business and will completely fill with water, but it will drain instantly allowing for quick recovery.  Don't let people scare you, it is not that narrow, if you're looking for a sporty boat that can haul a good amount of people also it is a great design.  I searched and searched different manufacturers for the perfect design for my needs and it was the boat for me.  I have been a raft guide for 10 years and always paddled Hypalon, getting used to PVC was the hardest part for me but again, it was the design that sold me, also the fact that Aire had a great reputation and great customer service.  Believe me, this boat is stable enough for some big holes, (Upper, Lower Gauley), nimble enough for tighter rivers (Cheoah) and made great.  Dan
