White Salmon White Salmon White Salmon
Don't go anywhere near the Clackamas, it is a great river but will pretty much be a creek in July. There are some good playholes, but if you are looking for an actual float, you should look across the border.
You could possibly do one day on the Deschutes (Harpam Flats to Sandy Beach) and then drive to the White Salmon the next day. Would at least give you some variety.
As for WA...the Skykomish is good, but a bit of a drive from Seattle. You may also want to check out the Sauk, Green and Cispus, I don't know what level they would be at but worth a check on americanwhiterwater.org.
Good luck! |
