NOC sells used Ducky's at GAF, our end of season Guest Appreciation festival at the end of September the week after Gauley Fest.  Unfortunately,
none will be for sale until then, but at that time it's easy to purchase from our used fleet or from our vendors bringing their used equipment for sale.

Additionally,

on the Nantahala River--mostly Class II with one Class III, we rent duckies to paddle every day we're open during the season.  Duckying the Nantahala River is a blast! Young kids to grandparents all ducky the river every single day.  Rates are really inexpensive.  Once you have your own ducky of course, you can ducky the river for just the Forest Service Usage Fee.  You can purchase that permit at NOC, and catch a shuttle to the put in as well or arrange your own shuttles.

Other great rivers to ducky in WNC include the Tuckaseegee from the Dillsboro Dam through downtown Bryson City, and of course there is the French Broad, Nolichucky and Chattooga Section III.  You can Ducky these on your own if you wish, but we recommend booking a guided ducky trip on these rivers with us for instruction and to learn the rivers.  The French Broad is Class II-III, the Nolichucky is Class II-IV in a ducky at appropriate levels, and the Chattooga Section III at appropriate levels is Class II-III.  PLEASE inquire locally with experienced river runners prior to running any river in a ducky you are not familiar with.

If you need any questions,  you can reach me at NOC:

Cheers!
