Eerily similar to a shore pounding beach in Florida!!
It's a beach just South of New Smyrna called Bethune Beach....
Some of the worst shore breaks in the area, but also some of the cleanest waves when the conditions arise!
It's funny because you can literally stand in front of the wave (while still staying on shore) and watch (and even reach out and touch) a 5-7 foot skull crusher.
The best part is the steep beach,,, get in your boat at the top and slide down into the 5-7 foot churning shore break!
The worst part is trying to get the boat out of the water w/out having to wet-exit in the "hole" (the churning wall of water right on the shore!)!!!!
Of course, most of the time, the shorebreak here consists of a 6 inch high wave.
Forecasts look promising for this weekend! (praying ruthlessly to any/all Gods that may be able to provide!) |
