 Toasted my shoulder with help of Good Samaritin New

This morning I was surfing in small waves in my Aquarius. A guy that I see a lot board surfing was SUP surfing with his girlfriend on the same waves.... I took off on a wave and he accidently cut in front of me paddling to get over about a shoulder high wave. I had to wipe out ... pearled and flipped to miss him. Lost grip of paddle was struggling to get paddle to roll up. Set up.... and could not roll up.... set up again ....still could not flip the boat .... one last try .... stuck the paddle way down to the bottom and gave it all I had to flip ... and it felt like some kind of creature was fighting me .....visions of the Solana Beach Shark flashing through my brain ....then I figured out what was going on, the guy had straddled my kayak on the stern and was trying to flip me over but did not have a clue how to help... when I gave the bottom brace all I had ... he was trying to flip me as hard as he could in the other direction. Felt like my shoulder was going to explode. I finally asked him to let go of the boat and I hand rolled and got out. I think my shoulder will be OK, but my upper arm hurts really really bad. I thanked him for helping ... but boy do I feel silly getting hurt in such tiny waves in shallow water. |
