	Bummer about the contest.  I knew Elliott wasn't going (he told me he had a sinus infection), but too bad turnout was low - a lack of Jodi's influence??? Glad to hear you guys are getting some water time.  I haven't had a session in waaaay too long.  I've been paddling, but by necessity, mostly flat water for the last three months.  The new job has been keeping me much busier than I expected, although things are steadily improving.  If I can hold on through the pain of being the new guy for the first year or two, both the $$ and the lifestyle should end up being awesome.  Still, I'm hating the lack of water and family time right now. Planning and hoping pretty hard to get to Oahu in September for a week or so, I'll let you know how that goes...  Keep me in touch with the local surf news and tell all the surf ohana I said Hi.  See you soon Aloha, Hamp PS:  Did you hear about J's crazy Costa Rica adventure?
