...I'm not saying I'm the most skillfull boater out there, far from it (only my first year in the sport), but I can already feel my boat limiting my growth.  It's heavy (30 lb or so) and way to short and low volume to generate a lot of speed (7'1", 5 inches shorter than the production model).  Not to mention, it's a bitch and a half to paddle sometimes.  I just think a better boat could widen my horizons so to speak, and help me improve a bit faster.

I've never heard of this 'ICY' Mako, but if it's better for heavier guys, probably isn't the best for me.  I'm a skinny 5'11" 155, and not the most powerful guy.
