I saw several boats for the first time at Jalama this past weekend in the water at the same time, same waves and top quality paddlers in every one of them. I saw the Mustang, the Reaction and I forgot what it was Chris is beating the hell out of (Fury I think) and here are some observations.
The Reaction was the fastest boat I saw screaming down the line, and I do mean screaming (although it might have been Dennis having to much fun).
I've never seen any boat intentionally do what Chris Harvey from Guernsey (isn't that a cow?) is doing in his boat. Not only intentionally, but surviving the move and landing it back in the wave. I'm sure you have all seen some of the pictures of him by now, incredible to watch live!
The Mustang was fast also and seemed quite manuverable as well, but me feeling was that the Reaction was the fastest.
(The true test would be to go head to head with my Groovy).
I think Vince's boat is pretty incredible and even though he offered to let me "attempt" to get in it and paddle it, I choose not to what it looks like doing a "mystery move" with me and my size on a wave at Jalama.
Anyway, just a few thoughts from some great paddling from many people out there.
Good to see everyone and hope you got enough to eat and enjoyed the famous "Broken Paddle Margaritas", a Jalama specialty.
