	Fair enough. It seems a little hard to argue that the locals aren't into competing, given the plethora of comps in CO that are well attended by local paddlers.  But, no need to take offense, it was an honest question. And, I didn't mean to imply that CO class V boaters are a bunch of sandy pants for not racing on one of their crown jewels. Just noting that the field was mostly people (who drove) from other regions and who weren't going to qualify since this wasn't their home region.  Then again it's the best water in years for CO, so maybe another lap on OBJ wasn't high on the list for the home team.  -Mark
