Personal info: Skiing used to be what I lived for. Then I started kayaing and have never gone back. Kayaking is what I do...everything else is just in between boating trips. I started doing this when I was twelve years old in Vail, CO, with Kent Ellis of Balance Kayak and Canoe (now Alpine Kayak). I am one of the few people my age that had a Dancer as a first boat because it was cool and still top of the line. Mostly I am a playboater, though I do dabble in class V stuff on occasion.
My primary career right now is doing backstage theater work. My main emphasis is on the Rigging aspect (hangin shit over peoples heads), but I do lights, sound, carpentry and most other stuff that you run up against in the theater business.
Happy Paddling and See you on the River,
Josh Hallenbeck
