Personal info: I live in rural WNC (near Rocky Broad and Linville), but formerly based my paddling out of the Atlanta metropolis. I have paddled in the SE (all the way up to Yough area as well), also a couple runs in Colorado and Utah (Gore Canyon, Westwater), as well as Ecuador, and I paddled a year ago on an expedition-style self-support trip on Colca and Cotahuasi Canyons in Peru with my lovely wife J2K. One of my goals is to boat the Pacific Northwest, Colorado, and Panama, Costa Rica and Mexico. Most recent trip was to Bhutan (Himalayas). Incredble fun there.
I'm looking foward to learning the WV creeks on weekend trips from NC.


My most recent "new" run was Crooked Fork Creek, a fun creek with waterfalls and slides (and a few boulder gardens) near Wartburg, Tenn. I'm always interested in boating with new people, that's part of the enjoyment of "river time".
