Personal info: I'm happy on any river - with job/spouse/house/kids I'm not choosy about my rivers or paddling days - it's about escaping and enjoying myself first, and skill development second. I mostly hand paddle, but the recent "big boat" (Remix) has had my revisiting learning how to paddle with a stick this summer (08). My skills are at the level of the Middle O (well, I get down in one piece and usually stay in my boat) and Chattooga 3.5.

I can't seem to get the kids interested in paddling ...

I'm temporarily moving to Wash. DC in Aug 2008 for 1 year. No car, maybe no boat :(
